Drive Thrashing Help

I just built a new home server with 4x2TB drives in software raid5. Built the array and everything using mdadm and everything seemed to be going well until about a week ago. One of the drives sounds like it is having some problems, it thrashes for about a second and then goes back to normal. SMART has not been triggered on any of the drives, mdadm doesn't send out any errors, munin doesn't show any strange activity in the individual drive monitors, and I have run seatools and other programs of the like on all of the drives and they check out fine. I honestly don't know how to narrow this problem down short of removing a drive at a time and letting the array rebuild itself to see if that is the failing drive replacing when it isn't (this is raid5 so I am not worried about losing data if I remove one drive). I just want to get a replacement drive so I don't increase my possibility of having a major failure in the future. So if anyone has any ideas on what I should try I would be very grateful.
