Hello all:)

I have a month off to do whatever I want with my time. So I decided to go into a self induced crash course in Linux. Currently my skill level is intermediate(?). I know how to install and setup, http and php (from source), NFS, samba, Postgres, vsftp, write bash automation scripts for multiple servers, setup squid, kickstart installations, basic iptables know how, basic LVM know how.

Below is all the material I want to go through in a month's time. What do you think? Too little, too much, anything I should remove or add? I have an ESXi machine at home where I play around with a lot.

Become more comfortable with LVM More advance uses of NFS Become more comfortable with IPtables More advance uses of proxy servers Learn more about Setting kernel runtime parameters. Become more familiar with the Boot Loader. Create a LDAP Learn ACLs Become comfortable with syslog - remote syslog as well Learn more about HTTP - Symbolic links - Setup HTTPS Learn more about Configuring static routes and network address translation. Learn how to setup a CVS Learn to setup BIND Learn about Postfix Setup a VPN server Setup Nagios Setup Replication on PostgreSQL

In the meantime devote few hours a day in getting your self again familiar With Oracle.

EDIT: MY end goal is to get a better job as linux admin from the one I have now :)
